Executive Coaching

Leadership Coaching PictureMost forms of structured coaching aren't designed for the challenges of a busy executive leader. We understand that and offer executives flexible, custom engagements, from 360 assessments with short-term focused coaching, to longer alliances addressing a wider range of leadership challenges, to spot coaching when an in-the-moment consultation is all that's needed.

Our coaching at the executive and leader levels has had long-standing success. We have been instrumental in assisting key leaders in leveraging the assets of their leadership style for achieving outstanding results while toning down those elements that do not work as well, developing an effective leadership presence that causes others to want to follow, skillfully navigating the power dynamics and political organizational environment to get things done, masterfully influencing up, down, and across departments, groups and functions, and building high-performing, motivated teams across distance and cultures.

Senior coaches have extensive expertise in the pivotal leadership domains of leadership style and presence, power and political savvy, interpersonal communication, masterful influence, social and emotional intelligence, leading and developing staff, and career laddering.

Executive Coaching Engagements
Preferred among executive clients is the 360 assessment and executive plan, with the optional addition of 3 to 5 coaching sessions in the 1 or 2 key focus areas identified in the 360. For the assessment we use the "live" interview process and on-line instruments from one of our world-class vendors. The result is an in-depth debrief and a robust executive plan that the leader takes forward on his or her own. Assessments described.

Extended executive coaching is for leaders seeking sustained behavioral change with a trusted, experienced, objective ally who can co-create a customized 6-month + program that addresses their specific leadership focus. After the assessment phase, the master plan can be flexible and entail one or all of the following: regularly scheduled meetings in person or by phone, shadow-coaching where the coach observes the executive in-person in anything from a small-group meeting to all-hands meetings to presentations at industry (and the like) events, and spot coaching where the executive coach is on-call, generally with one day's notice or less for instances requiring in-the-moment discussions.

Following the close of either of the above coaching engagements, the executive coach can be available for spot coaching sessions on an hourly basis or on a monthly retainer.
